Employer: Saunders Landscaping & Renovations Ltd.

Job Location: Based in Calgary, Alberta. Saunders Landscaping has sites located at various locations in Calgary and surrounding areas. Travel to Edmonton and other locations in Alberta may be required. All work is performed outdoors. Travel expenses are paid as per company policy.

• Financial support for relocation available for out-of-province applicants.

Wage: $28.85 – $30.00 / hour (based on skills and experience/salary increases as per company policy)

Employment terms and conditions: Seasonal employment, Full-time, 40 to 60 hours per week (weather-dependent), Morning, Days, Weekends, Overtime.

Job requirements:

Language: Basic English

Education: Not required

Experience: 2 years of related experience

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Attention to detail, Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Manual dexterity, Bending, crouching, kneeling, Repetitive tasks, combination of sitting, standing, walking, Standing for extended periods, Ability to distinguish between colours

Weight Handling: up to 45 kg (100 lbs)

Work Site Environment: Outdoors, Work in all kinds of weather

Work Setting: Landscape contractor

Duties and Skills:

• Plant and move trees
• Plan and construct landscaped environments which may include trees, shrubberies, lawns, fences, decks, patios, and other landscape structures
• Prepare base for and install pavers
• Plan the leveling and grading of loam
• Install, operate and repair irrigation systems
• Construct fences, decks, and pergolas
• Construct retaining walls
• Read and interpret blueprints
• Landscaping plant identification
• Mentor labourers
• Abide by Saunders Landscaping safety program
